Shamless Promotion
If you’ve never heard of maczot.com, and you own a mac, you should go there now. They regularly offer software at a discounted price (50% most of the time) and on occassion they even offer it free…for a little bit of effort. They are giving away 3000 copies of SubEthaEdit, an amazing text editor that lets you collaboratively edit a text file over a network. If you’ve never experienced it, it’s pretty nifty.
The catch is that people need to post links back to SubEthaEdit and MacZot on their blogs to get the word out. In theory, everybody wins. Free publicity, free software. So that’s what this is; my attempt to get SubEthaEdit for free. If you’re wondering what the value of the software is, consider the fact that I normally don’t stoop so low as to advertise within my blog posts. :-) It MUST be worth a lot! With each blog post the price drops $0.05 so if all 3000 copies are given away for free MacZOT and TheCodingMonkeys will award $105,000 in Mac software. That’s a lot of cash.
